Tiny Eden planter says “Not empty”?

Check the contents before trying the sledgehammer again. The empty-object rule is official; the Trowel sequence below comes from players.

What the official notes establish

Update #4, September 11, 2026, says objects must be empty before they can be demolished. An occupied object can produce a notification.

Community-reported planter steps

Applies to: the planter removal symptom in the linked discussion. Requires access to the Trowel and sledgehammer. We have not verified their unlock requirements or tested this sequence in-game.

1. Check that the message is “Not empty”.

2. Use the Trowel to clear the planter's contents, as suggested in the thread. Clearing contents may discard material; do not proceed with anything you want to keep unless you understand the in-game action.

3. Once the planter is empty, try the sledgehammer again.

Community-confirmed in the cited thread · Not tested by this site

A follow-up player reported success. That is evidence for this case, not a promise for every planter, furniture item or game build.

Still seeing the message?

Stop repeating a destructive action if you are unsure what remains inside. Note the object name, message and game version, then check the discussion or ask for help. We do not have a verified workaround for every furniture-removal problem.

Is the Trowel method official?

No. The requirement to empty objects is in the official patch notes; the specific planter method is community advice with a successful follow-up.

Does this work for all furniture?

This guide does not establish that. Do not generalize the planter report to all objects.
